Head Coach Steve Phillips retires

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- After four years at the helm of the Palisade Bulldogs' basketball program and 21 years in the Grand Valley, Coach Steve Phillips is retiring.

Phillips is leaving on a high note after an 18-7 finish and a second round appearance in the 4A State Playoffs. Overall, Phillips was 41-51 as the Palisade head coach with three state appearances.

Previously to Palisade, Phillips was a head coach at Central high school for 17 years where he won a state championship in 1990.
