GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Zane Hemond gave the Indians a solid pitching performance and Bryce Gaber's go-ahead hit in the fifth inning proved to be the difference in a 9-7 win on Friday afternoon.
Montrose won its first home game behind five solid innings from Hemond as he gave up four runs. Bryce Gaber had a two-out hit to score two and give the Indians a 4-3 lead. The Bulldogs nearly came back on the Indians with a three-run rally in the seventh, but Roland McLaren was able to lock down the win.
Montrose will finish off the Lloyd McMillan Tournament with a double-header on Saturday starting at 1:45 p.m.
