Ramunno and Palisade in talks for possible coaching job

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Joe Ramunno may not be taking much of a break from football after all. After resigning from Colorado Mesa this past Nov., he is now in talks with returning to the Palisade Bulldogs' sidelines.

Ramunno resigned from the helm of the Mavericks after 14 years of coaching. But, before Ramunno was a Maverick, he was a Bulldog. Athletics Director Mike Krueger said he is hopeful that deal will get done with Coach Ramunno in the near future.

This is one of the most irresponsible examples of journalism I have ever seen. It completely lacks any understanding of how coaches and teachers are hired. This is not a college coach with negotiations. Coach Ramunno is a legend in Palisade and would always be welcomed by the community, but his privacy, as well as the process of hiring teachers from Palisade High School's end should be respected. Furthermore, this is completely unfair to Coach John Arledge who deserves better than to have the media creating speculation about his position. This story should be retracted.
