GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- After 4 seasons at the helm for Palisade's girl's basketball team, Toni Gunther has stepped down.
Friday afternoon Gunther told KKCO 11 Sports reporter Phil Stafford that she has truly enjoyed her time coaching the girls, but due to family issues she must resign from the heading coaching position.
Gunther will remain on the Palisade staff as a teacher. She joins the Bulldogs former boys basketball coach Steve Phillips, and Fruita Monument's former coaches Dave Fox and Dan Schmalz on the list of coaches to resign this spring.
