DENVER - The Colorado High School Wrestling State Championships wrapped up in Denver Colorado on Saturday night. And a handful of local wrestlers are bringing home first place medals.
Grand Junction's Robert Tucker won his second straight 5A state title at 215 lbs with a reversal in the final seconds of his match for a 3-2 win.
Central Sophomore Matthew Gurule won his first at 103 lbs in 5A.
Paonia sports two state champions. Justin Smith won the 2A state title at 145 lbs and teammate Devon Brown is the 171 lbs champ.
