PAONIA, Colo. - The Paonia Eagles made a statement that they are still one of the tough teams in 1A football to be reconned with after upsetting the sixth ranked Hayden Tigers 24-19 on Friday night.
Taylor Bradford gave the Eagles the early 7-0 lead on a three yard touchdown run off the right side in the first quarter.
Casey Gillenwater and Jordan VanVleet would connect on a fade pass for the 14-0 lead.
Paonia's next game is at Meeker on Friday, October 3.
