Palisade Baseball Bounces Back for Win

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo - The Palisade baseball team lost 11-0 in five innings to SWL leading Delta on Tuesday, then turned right around to shutout Paonia 16-0 in non-league play.

The Bulldogs got in split the doubleheader at Suplizio Field after having their last six games cancelled due to weather.

Riley Josie jump started the offense beginning in the bottom of the first when he drove in Jake Appling and Mike Seriani with a two RBI double to give Palisade a 2-0 lead.

In the bottom of the third Appling was on again for Josie who drove into the gap in right center. The balled rolled to the wall giving Josie an RBI triple, then a throwing error at home allowed Josie to come in and the Bulldogs led 4-0.

Next on the schedule for Palisade is a trip to Moffat County on Saturday.
