PAONIA, Colo. - Homecoming night in Paonia ended on a sour note as the Eagles ended up one touchdown short against the Meeker Cowboys 14-7 on Friday night.
The Cowboys are now 4-1 on the season and are competing with the Hotchkiss Bulldogs for the top spot in the Western Slope League.
Paonia (2-5) will face West Grand in their next game on Friday, October 16 at 7:00 p.m. The game will be played at West Grand High School.
