PAONIA, Colo. (KKCO) -- The Paonia Eagles are getting ready for the 2011 season with a completely new look as Scott Rinks moves from defensive coordinator to head coach.
He not only brought in a new coaching staff, but he also switched up the defense from a 3-5 to a 4-4. Offensively they'll rely a lot more on the run, as opposed to the pass-heavy attack they employed last season.
The Eagles graduated quarterback Casey Gillenwater, wide receivers Adrian Penny and Blaine Escher, and linebacker Steven Voight.
They bring back Casey Christian, Adrian Lopez, who will see a bulk of the running, and Anthony Rober, who takes over under center.
