The first pet of the week for 2013 is Tommy.
This little dog is a five-year-old chihuahua/terrier mix. He was originally brought to Montrose Animal Control by someone who found him while on a hiking trip.
When no one came to claim him, Tommy was transferred to Roice-Hurst Humane Society in Grand Junction.
The dog is house-trained and fixed, and an ideal owner for him would be a person who can be with him a lot. Tommy would be a good lap dog because he loves being held and loves attention.
If you want more information, call the Roice-Hurst Humane Society at 434-7337, or stop by.
