GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - For most of the game Saturday the Palisade Bulldogs' play mirrored the look of their best player: dejected, frustrated, out of sync.
TJ Tway dislocated his shoulder Friday night, and the Bulldog's offensive attack suffered in his absence. Through 6 innings they only scored 1 run, and were staring loss in the face in the bottom of the 7th.
But with 2 outs and runners on Caden Woods stepped up and willed his team to a tie. Unfortunately for Woods, the Tigers scored again in the top of the 8th and the Bulldogs could not mount another rally.
Palisade's amazing season thus came to an end, too soon in the minds of most of us who watched them.
