Endangered fish now have a safer path down the Colorado River - the brand new Price Stubbs Fish Passage opened this morning.

By diverting them from dangerous rapids into hatcheries, the hope is the population of endangered fish will stock up.

Some of those fish will be sent out to areas for sport fishing.

The passage is part of a 52 mile span along the Colorado River used to protect these fish species. The passage starts in Rifle and ends in along Lake Powell in Utah.
