Denver (AP) Barack Obama's decision to accept the Democrats' nomination for president at Invesco Field at Mile High is affecting both convention organizers and those planning protests.

Even the secret service may not have its final plans for security during Obama's acceptance speech until a few weeks before the convention.

The convention is August 25th to 28th at the Pepsi center. Obama recently decided to give his acceptance speech at the bigger venue of Invesco field.

U.S. Attorney Amanda Rocque said in a pretrial conference today that doesn't know when the secret will complete its plans. They may not be ready before July 29th, the trial date for a lawsuit filed by groups challenging where and when protest groups can gather and march during the convention.

The groups say a designated public demonstration zone and route for marches during the convention will not be within earshot or view of delegates entering the Pepsi Center. They're also concerned about accommodations for protesters at Invesco.
