Denver (AP) Michelle Obama was in Denver today to raise money and campaign for her husband, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

She spoke before a crowd of about 150 that paid from $1,000 to $10,000 apiece at a private fundraising dinner at a downtown Denver Hotel. She earlier spoke briefly to volunteers for the Democratic National convention after landing at Centennial airport in the South-Denver suburb of Englewood.

Obama says the differences between her husband and republican presidential candidate John McCain are great. She says her husband who believes change is necessary while McCain thinks things are fine the way they are.

A spokesman for McCain says the Arizona Senator has plans to improve the economy by helping small businesses grow.
