Firefighters had to contain a half dozen or more wildfires in Colorado over the weekend. The biggest which is now nearly 150 acres, is near Deckers.

Several campgrounds and homes near Deckers were evacuated this weekend. The town is about 30 miles south of Denver. A helicopter and at least four air tankers were dropping water and fire retardant slurry on the blaze that was burning in rugged, pine covered mountains on forest service land west of Colorado 67.

No homes burned and there were no casualties.
