Denver (AP) A judge has rejected a request for Denver to list how many police officers would be needed to staff potential routes for protest marches around the Democratic National Convention.

Groups planning protests were seeking the information as part of a lawsuit challenging a designated demonstration zone and route for marches during the convention. The convention is August 25th to 28th at the Pepsi Center and Invesco Field at Mile High.

The groups say the zone and route will not be within earshot or view of convention delegates.

U.S. Magistrate judge Kathleen TaFoya today rejected the request for information, saying some requests aren't relevant to the lawsuit.

Arguments on the lawsuit challenging plans for protesters are set to be heard July 29th.
