Starting Tuesday more than 125 new laws go into effect in the Colorado.

The laws will work to make energy more renewable, child care more affordable, and the insurance industry more accountable. There is a new law to protect our states rivers, one makes school beverages meet nutrition standards, and one lowers the cost of textbooks.

There is also a new law that requires insurance brokers to tell their customers how much commission they make on each policy they sell. Colorado consumers can now take complaints of spam email to local authorities in an effort to catch local spammers.
