DENVER (AP) _ More than half the 75,000-plus seats for Barack Obama's acceptance speech at Invesco Field will go to residents of Colorado, a battleground state in the presidential election.

All told, nearly two-thirds of the seats will go to western and southwestern states, which Democratic Party officials see as growth areas.

People can request tickets online or by telephone. So far, the Obama campaign has received more than 20,000 requests. People will be interviewed to make sure they have solid plans for getting to the stadium and have a place to stay.

Convention committee CEO Leah Daughtry said people who receive credentials and try to sell them online risk having bar codes on the tickets voided. It's not clear yet how that would work.

People who want a ticket can call 888-468-7404 between 9 a.m and 9 p.m. You can also purchase tickets online just click on the link below this story.
