Colorado Springs, Colo. (AP) - Colorado Springs police say a man who walked away from a work-release program in 2007 may have committed more than 100 burglaries since then.
Authorities said this week they've returned more than $10,000 in stolen property since arresting the suspect on June 1. Investigators say that in one robbery, a victim was forced at gunpoint to walk from room to room in his house.
Police identified the suspect as Bobby Berry. He was arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft, second-degree kidnapping and giving false information to pawn brokers.
A woman identified as his girlfriend, Jennifer Trimble, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft.
It's not clear what charges Berry faced when he was in the work-release program.
