Rural residents have raccoons to thank for power outage

It seems a group of raccoons caught on top of a transformer near Crawford are the cause of a power outage there overnight.
The bodies of the badly-burned raccoons were discovered on top of a transformer at Highway 92.
According to the Delta-Montrose Electric Association, the area affected by the power outage was south of Crawford.
About 165 customers lost power just after 9 p.m. Thursday night.
Workers removed the bodies of the raccoons and power was restored just after 11 p.m.
