An update on the proposed uranium mill near Montrose.
Montrose County Commissioners have delayed a decision on the mill until September 30.
The Commissioners heard from several people during a hearing on plans by Toronto-based Energy Fuels Incorporated to build a mill 12 miles west of Naturita.
About 200 people attended the public hearing.
The mill’s proponents say it would help the economy and opponents worry about the effects on the environment and public safety.
The County Planning Commission in August recommended approving the uranium mill.
