The victim of a fatal ATV accident has been identified by the Mesa County Coroner.
Francis 'Peter' Bierstaker, 55, or Deerfield, Florida was killed in an ATV accident near Collbran over the weekend.
Officials say he was returning from a hunting campsite to his cabin when the ATV he was riding on jackknifed while pulling a trailer. Both Bierstaker and the driver were ejected, neither were wearing a helmet. Officials say both rolled about 30 feet down an embankment.
The Coroner says alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
