COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – A dead body has been found in a heating vent on the roof of an elementary school in Colorado Springs.

Authorities say that the body at French Elementary School may be that of a 17-year-old runaway. The runaway was not identified.

The teen’s parents told police December 3rd that their missing son had been seen on the school roof. The roof was initially too icy to check. A sheriff’s deputy searched Friday afternoon and found a body 10 feet to 15 feet down a roof vent.

Authorities said a positive identification will not be made until the body was removed and an autopsy completed.
