Flash mob promotes anti-bullying at GJHS

Grand Junction, Colo. (KKCO) – Students from Mesa View Elementary are stepping up and busting a move to send a message.

The message: Stop the bullying! They chose an anti- bullying flash mob to get that point across. It happened Friday night in between two basketball games at Grand Junction high school.

The students danced to the song "You can't take that away from me" and wore blue shirts with the message "I see your ability."

"Trying to tell people that you shouldn't be bullies and don't point out people by their disabilities, point them out by their abilities," says Faith Cutts, a 5th grade student at Mesa View Elementary.

After the flash mob one student representative got on the P.A. system and said everyone has a disability some you can see and some you can not, and we should celebrate everyone's abilities and talents. The students want to stand up for anyone who is or has been bullied. They hope that the anti-bullying flash mob well help get that point across.
