CMU Baseball: Mavs bounce back behind great pitching performance


GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - For the 2nd time this month the Mavs lost the back end of a Saturday double-header here at Suplizio field. And once again, they bounced back quickly to win the final game of the series on Sunday.

Kyle Davis led the Mavs to victory from the mound, pitching 7 innings only giving up 1 run and striking out 8 Rangers.

Nate Robertson chipped in another home run, his second of the weekend series.

The Mavs will finish of their regular season next weekend against the School of Mines.
