GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) The CMU football team had another impressive weekend. They hosted Western New Mexico University and picked up their third straight win 22-17, remaining unbeaten at home while improving to 3-1 in conference play.

Through it all senior Jake Edmiston made headlines yet again as a part of CMU's dominant defense.

Edmiston tallied a season-high 23 tackles Saturday - earning his way into the RMAC's defensive player of the week honors.

Now (with 89 total tackles) he's the leading tackler in the conference and the nation's leading tackler in NCAA DII. Plus he's tied for third out of any NCAA division.
