GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Colorado Mesa and Notre Dame de Namur were matching goal for goal, but Mesa would hold out for the win.

Through the first half, both teams were unable to get more than a single goal of leverage. It was a back-and-forth battle that ended with Mesa leading 4-3 at halftime.

They came out strong in the second half, pulling two goals ahead for the first time all night. David Solomon scored the final two goals for Mesa, and the team would hold the lead for the 8-7 win.

The Mavericks improve to 2-0 in WILA play.
