Challenger Baseball back and bigger than ever

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Despite how competitive sports can become, when done right it's all about bringing people together.

Grand Junction's Challenger Baseball Program exemplifies that, bringing together special needs children with college and high school athletes to learn and grow together.

Every Monday at 5:30 you'll find the challengers out at Canyon View Park, which is a brand new venue for them. Thanks to the city of Grand Junction and the Mesa County Valley school district they can now play more than two games a week for the first time in their history.

It's a great experience for the players and the buddies alike, and everyone achieves what they came out to achieve. To have fun!
