GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) --- The Rockies have been up and down in this second half of Pioneer League baseball play, but Sunday and Monday night reminded us all of the first place team we saw back in July.
Monday night the Rockies were propelled past the Raptors by a score of 8-4 thanks to a trio of homers from Raimel Tapia, Correlle Prime and Ryan McMahon.
Alex Balog got the start and picked up his first career professional win, going six innings and giving up four runs, while striking out five.
The Rox tallied 15 hits and, perhaps more importantly, tallied zero errors for the second night in a row.
Tuesday they'll square off again, with Roy Oswalt slated to start for the Rockies in a rehabilitation start.
They will also welcome back Zach Osborne, Jose Briceno and Jacob Newberry to Grand Junction.
