GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. The Grand Junction Rockies had just 11 games left to prove they belong in the postseason.
After seemingly taking command of the division a week ago in lieu of their six and five game win streaks, they were losers of four straight coming into Monday's game, with Ogden just a half game behind.
Grand Junction pitcher Javier Palacios was hoping to help turn things back around for his team, and he threw a gem. Over the course of seven innings, he allowed just four hits, one run and struck out four.
Randy Reyes led the charge from the plate, batting 4-4 and was a triple short of the cycle.
Rockies play well at Suplizio Field again, and end their skid, knocking off Ogden 9-1.
They now own a 1 1/2 game lead in the Pioneer South.
