GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) --- The Rockies haven't always been easy for the fans to watch since the season turned to the second half.
Sunday night was a totally different story, as they reminded us all of the team that took the Pioneer League by storm in the first half of the season.
The Rox wasted no time getting on the board.
In the first inning, a Raimel Tapia fielder's choice resulted in a run.
Then clean-up man Ryan McMahon stepped to the plate with two men on and shot a gapper to right center field for his first two RBI's.
In the sixth, he was at it again.
With two baserunners, he took it out of the park for hit eighth homer of the season and his third, fourth and fifth RBI's of the game.
Devin Burke, who was recently named a Pioneer League All-Star, was more than efficient from the mound.
He went six strong innings, giving up only three hits and no runs, collecting the win.
The Rockies perhaps gain a little playoff momentum after this 9-2 win; these two teams will play again
