GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Grand Junction Rockies have struggled to find their groove since the second half of the season kicked off.
It's been the same story for weeks as the once "top-of-the-charts-early-playoff-berth" team has gone just 5-11 in their last 16 games.
The Rockies were able to break out of their six-game losing skid Wednesday when they put out 16 runs off 18 hits against Missoula, but that offensive momentum was cancelled out by errors and poor pitching in the following two games. Their most recent loss came Friday night when they fell short in the final inning, losing 7-6.
Grand Junction will start a new series opposite the Helena Brewers Saturday. This marks their first meeting of the season.
