GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The Grand Junction Rockies went down 5-3 to the Idaho Falls Chukars tonight, but can still walked away from Suplizio Field knowing that they'd be around in the post-season.
Paired with a loss from the Orem Owlz, the Rockies have statistically eliminated every other team from their division in the race for the first half championship.
Jonathan Gray pitched his best game so far tonight, going five innings with one earned run and six strikeouts.
The Rox will host the Chukars once more on Sunday before hitting the road at Ogden for the start of the second half of the season.
