GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Grand Junction may have won the "main event," but it was Fruita Monument who went home as the victors on Thursday.

The team finals measured Fruita Monument ahead of the Tigers 42-25.

Everyone's attention, however, was on the match between No. 1 Jacob Trujillo of Grand Junction against No. 3 Isaac Rodriguez of Fruita Monument in 145 lbs.

Trujillo scored three takedowns against Rodriguez, while fending off multiple attempts by the Wildcat to counter those moves. Ultimately, it was Trujillo, who remains undefeated this season, with a win by 7-3 decision.
