Patriots Cut Lynch On Way To 53

FOXBOROUGH, Mass.(AP) - New England has released nine time pro
bowl safety and former Denver Bronco John Lynch, two weeks after
signing him.

But Patriots coach Bill Belichick says he wouldn't rule anything
out down the road.

The Patriots have regularly signed veterans and often released them, only to sign them again if needed. Belichick's comments indicate Lynch may be in that category.

Lynch has played 11 seasons in Tampa Bay and four in Denver. He
turns 37 on September 25th.

New England had signed Lynch after he was released by Denver
early in training camp.
