ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) - The Denver Broncos have signed four of the players who didn't make their 53-man roster: quarterback Darrell Hackney, safety Josh Barrett, guard Mitch Erickson and defensive tackle Steven Harris.
Hackney was cut one day after completing 17 of 26 passes for 208
yards in Denver's 28-14 win over the Cardinals on Friday, and the Broncos were relieved he cleared waivers. He spent the final eight games of last season on Denver's 53-man roster, although he was the
third quarterback and didn't play a snap.
Barrett is a rookie seventh-rounder from Arizona State who had 11 tackles in the preseason, plus two on special teams. Erickson is an undrafted rookie from South Dakota State. Harris played in four games for the Broncos last season.
