GRAND JUNCTION - Mesa State Mavericks running back Bobby Coy was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's offensive player of the week on Monday.
Coy was recognized by the RMAC after rushing for 201 yards on 34 carries and two touchdowns against West Texas A&M last Thursday night. The Mavs lost that game by three points 23-20.
By halftime Coy had already totaled 144 yards on only 20 carries.
The Mavericks next game is on Saturday, September 6 on the road against Central Washington at 2:00 p.m. MDT.
