Bulldogs Ready For The Grind Of WSL Play

PALISADE, Colo. - The 2008 campaign for the Palisade Bulldogs football team has gotten off to a great start with two wins in two games, but now the tough grind of Western Slope League play begins.

Palisade faces the Battle Mountain Huskies on Thursday night in the first of eight WSL games on the season.

The Bulldogs will be without star running back Zach Adair for the second straight week. Adair strained some ligaments in his left knee at the end of the season opening win over Woodland Park.

Although Adair's injury has left the team without some major talent, others have responded to the call to step up. Jesse Brannon rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns in last Saturday's win while Travis Fehlman rushed for 83 yards and Aaron Wagler cruised for 79 yards.
