Mesa State Falls To 10th Ranked Central Washington

Washington - The Mesa State Mavericks fell to 0-2 on the season with a 48-14 loss on the road to Central Washington on Saturday.

Central Washington led 35-14 at the half. A blocked a punt and a kickoff that were both returned for touchdowns created a three posession lead.

For the Mavs it was the second straight game against a team ranked nationally in the top 10. Mesa State lost to West Texas A&M last week at Stocker Stadium.

The Mavs kick off their conference schedule next Saturday at Stocker Stadium against New Mexico Highlands.
