Andre Hall Plays Hours After Learning Mother Passed Away

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) - Running back Andre Hall played in last night's season opener against the Oakland Raiders hours after learning his mother had died.

Hall gained 61 yards on 10 carriers in the Broncos 41-14 win over Oakland.

Hall knew his mother was ill and in a Florida hospital, but her passing came as a shock. He decided to play after speaking with several members of the Broncos' coaching staff, front office and teammates.
