FMHS Softball Coaches Released By District

FRUITA, Colo. - Fruita Monument Wildcats head softball coach Billy Johnson and assistant softball coach Kevin Chirdon have been released from their coaching responsibilities by District 51.

In a release from Fruita Monument High School it says that "in light of personell matter involving (Johnson and Chirdon), the District has determined that a coaching change is necessary."

Tracy Burke has been selected as the new head coach. Burke was already present as the team's new coach in Tuesday night's game against Grand Junction High School.

Both Johnson and Chirdon will continue as teachers in the District.
