GRAND JUNCTION - Hours after the Mesa State Mavericks defeated the New Mexico Highlands Cowboys on the football field, the Mavs volleyball team handed the Cowgirls a 3-0 loss at Brownson Arena.
Alisan Tompkins led the way with 13 kills and 10 digs. Meagan Bosch added 9 kills.
The Mavs are at Fort Lewis next Friday.
