Warriors Football Headed In New Direction

GRAND JUNCTION - After opening the season with a 41-0 blowout loss at the hands of the defending state champions, the Central Warriors football team has gone on to win back to back games in convincing fashion.

The Warriors second game of the season was the team's first home game at Stocker Stadium. The Warriors impressed the home crowd with a 24-15 win over the Horizon Hawks.

Last Friday night the Warriors improved the team's record to 2-1 with a big win over Gateway on the road 38-6. With two straight wins under their belts, the Warriors return to Stocker Stadium for a Saturday afternoon matchup against Rocky Mountain High School (3-0) at 1:00 p.m.
