DENVER (AP) - The Denver Nuggets have signed rookie guard Sonny Weems to a contract. The team didn't disclose contract terms.
The Chicago Bulls selected Weems out of Arkansas in the second round of the 2008 NBA draft. He was traded to Denver for a 2009 second-round draft pick.
Weems had surgery to repair a sports hernia in July. He's expected to fully recover in time for the start of training camp on Sept. 30.
