FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - A Colorado State University cornerback is due in court Oct. 21 for a pretrial conference amid allegations that he assaulted two people at a bar.
Twenty-year-old Deangelo Wilkinson is charged with two counts of third-degree assault. He has been suspended indefinitely from the team.
A Fort Collins police report released Wednesday indicates Wilkinson and another man were dancing with a woman at the bar Aug. 3 when Wilkinson allegedly "grabbed her crotch."
The report says Wilkinson pushed her and hit her in the face. A man who witnessed the alleged incident helped restrain Wilkinson until bouncers arrived, but the report says Wilkinson punched him in the face when the man released him.
Wilkinson was arrested at the scene. He is a native of Las Vegas.
