Delta Gives Up Lead Late, Falls To Moffat County

DELTA, Colo. - A week after upsetting the Rifle Bears, the Delta Panthers were brought back to earth with a late, 12-10 loss to Moffat County on Friday night.

The Panthers took a 10-0 lead into halftime but Moffat County's defense held stiff in the second half and the Bulldogs scored to two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to take the 12-10 lead.

Manuel Ramirez had a chance to win the game with a last second fieldgoal for the Panthers, but it was blocked with less than three seconds to play.
