Geer Finds Endzone In Buffs First Loss

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.(AP) - Antone Smith ran for 154 yards and three touchdowns as Florida State defeated previously unbeaten Colorado 39-21 Saturday, in Bobby Bowden's 500th game as a college
head coach.

It was Bowden's 376th career victory.

Florida State scored three times in the final 2:29 of the first half to take a 19-7 lead.

Colorado was unable to put much together offensively until an 80 yard scoring drive that culminated early in the fourth quarter on Cody Hawkins' two yard touchdown pass to Riar Geer. That cut the
lead to 25-14.

But Florida State's Michael Ray Garvin answered 12 seconds later
with a 94 yard kickoff return to give the Seminoles a 32-14 lead.

Hawkins threw for 154 yards and three touchdowns.
