GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The second-ranked Palisade Bulldogs are preparing for homecoming this week, but you'd be crazy to that top-ranked Rifle isn't crossing their minds already.

No. 1 Rifle and No. 2 Palisade are scheduled to face off on October 4th at Stocker Stadium.

Both teams are 2-0 so far this season, with neither team expecting to face a top-ten opponent until they face each other.

Through the first two games Palisade has a plus-63 points differential in scoring, while the Bears have outscored their opponents by 84 points.

Palisade welcomes Cortez on Saturday at noon for their homecoming game. The game will be played at Palisade High School.
