MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Colorado College Tigers garnered 41 first-place votes to remain at the top of the NCAA Division I men's ice hockey poll released today by U.S. College Hockey Online.
The Tigers improved to 5-3 Sunday with a 3-2 win over arch-rival Denver in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association game.
Richard Bachman stopped 40 shots on goal and Andreas Vlassopoulos scored a goal and assisted on another to help lead CC to the victory.
The DU Pioneers fell to 4-2-1and dropped to sixth place in the poll, down from fourth last week.
Undefeated Air Force jumped from 17th to 14th place in the poll, following Saturday's 8-2 win over Bentley College. Air Force is 8-0 overall and in first place in the Atlantic Hockey Association with a 6-0 record.
