MONTROSE, Colo - The 4A football playoffs began with a comeback win for the Montrose Indians (10-1) on Saturday. Fourth-seeded Montrose trailed 14-0 to the #13 Niwot Cougars (7-4) before the defense clamped down and the offense came to life.
Nathan Robertson intercepted a pass leading to a one yard touchdown run by Glayden Berry to get the Indians on the board.
Later in the first half Robertson threw a seven yard touchdown pass to Shane Hendrick. The pat was no good and Montrose trailed 14-13 at halftime.
In the second half Montrose held Niwot scoreless and added another touchdown and a two-point conversion to win 21-14. The Indians will face #5 seed Greeley West in the quarterfinal round.
